Jaxtyn Daniel

Junior Athlete — The Brooky & Thompson Junior Golf Academy

Jaxtyn is a young athlete with a passion for sport and a drive to be the best he can be. He has been playing golf for five years and is a proud member of Titahi Bay Golf Club, where he continues to develop his game with focus and determination.

Beyond the fairways, Jaxtyn plays rugby union and rippa rugby for the Porirua Rugby Club, and represents his school on the basketball court. When he’s not training or competing, he enjoys weight training in the garage gym with his Dad, and relaxing with video games.

"My goal is to be the best I can be in golf and rugby. I want to work hard and learn from those who have mastered being the best."

— Jaxtyn Daniel

Three in a Row — Titahi Net Champion

Jaxtyn made it three consecutive net victories at his home course, backing up his Father’s Day Stableford win with the Titahi Net title. With academy mate David unable to play, David stepped in to caddie the final five holes to help secure the win. A team effort through and through — and a third net win in a row for the academy’s rising star.

By the Academy Desk

Jaxtyn Daniel made it three net victories in a row at his home course this week, backing up his Father's Day Stableford win with the Titahi Net title in a composed, fighting finish that underlined just how far his game has come.

With academy mate David Cook unable to play, David stepped straight off the tee and onto the bag — caddying the final five holes to help Jaxtyn over the line. It was a proper team effort from the Brooky & Thompson Junior Golf Academy, and a moment that captured everything the academy stands for: mates showing up for one another when it matters most.

The prizes told their own story — a box of Srixon Marathon golf balls, a Callaway drawstring bag and a GW cap — but the real prize is the streak. Three net wins on the bounce at Titahi Bay is a serious run for any junior, and the coaches are rightly proud.

Next stop: keep grinding, keep learning, and keep the run alive. With the academy behind him and David on the bag when it counts, Jaxtyn's season is only just getting started.
